Chun
Kuk Do is different from other styles of martial arts in that it combines
aspects of karate, aikido, judo and jujitsu for total body exercise and
greater speed and agility. This combination of styles better equips the
student to handle different attack situations.
Chun
Kuk Do is not a "Christian" martial art. Dunamis Karate, however, is a
Christian dojo. We incorporate a the development of Godly characteristics
and Biblical principles in our students along with the martial arts
training.
Karate
can be very fun. It helps to build self-confidence and discipline while
teaching respect for oneself and others. The Godly principles that are
taught encourage the students to reflect the image of Christ in the earth..
Acts
1:8 reads ...
"But when the Holy
Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about
me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends
of the earth."
Power comes from the Greek word Dunamis which means
"strength, power, ability"
It’s pronounced
Doo'na-mis. |
