Dunamis Karate - News & Notes
Congratulations to Dustin Williams & Mackenzie Cooler. After
a grueling test which lasted over 3 hours, they have been promoted to 1st
Degree Chun Kuk Do Black Belt. Congratulations to Andi Woods &
Alex Gardner who have been promoted to 2nd Degree CKD

Flying
Side Kick Photo Contest…
we took pictures of our students during their best flying side kicks. If
you would like to submit their photo for the KICKgen.com competition, simply
email Mrs. Lindy at dunamiskarate@embarqmail.com and she will send you the
pic. KICKgen membership is free and you will also have access to our school
site (use the code DunCC92) where you can find curriculum requirements and
videos of the forms.
Karate
Fun Night FUND RAISER
for our Compassion Project to help Zimbabwe on Friday, May 23rd
from 6:00 till 9:00 PM. Ages 6 and up are welcome. Bring Family &
Friends! The cost will be $10 per person – all money will go to Zimbabwe.
If you would like to make an extra donation, your gift to Rev. Agrippa Dube
is tax deductible. See Mrs. Lindy for more details.
Parent
Volunteer… We are
looking for parents to provide food and snacks for our Fun Night Fund
Raiser. Please see Mrs. Lindy, Mrs. Sandy, or Mrs. Allison ASAP!
PENNY
WARS… We will be
having penny wars between the boys and the girls to raise additional funds
to help Zimbabwe. The winning team will get a GREAT prize… maybe a pizza
party!! Pennies count in your favor, but silver coins & paper bills count
against you. So put the pennies in your own jar and the silver coins and
bills in the opposing team’s jar. See Mrs. Allison for complete details.
